Construction Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION

This position is responsible for general construction including:

  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Coordinates internal, subcontractors and vendor efficiently
  • Schedules resources, deliveries, secures properties
  • Remodeling & Tile work
  • Electrical
  • General Plumbing
  • Framing & Sheet-rock
  • General Carpentry
  • Finish Trim
  • Remodeling & Construction Knowledge
  • Handyman, General Repair & Maintenance Work
  • Material Management
  • Ability to read blue prints is a plus
  • Effectively manage multiple projects
  • Documentation skills
  • Understands budgets and variances less than +/- 2%
  • Other duties as required

  • Work independently and as a team
  • Keep a clean and organized work space
  • Remain accessible and connected to staff and supervisor
  • Maintain good public relations and interact with clients and co-workers respectfully

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical Demands
  • Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach above and below shoulders in all directions
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment and tools
  • 10% sitting, 50% standing, 40% walking
  • Use of hands and fingers in repetitive motion
  • Ability to see, hear and speak clearly and distinctly
  • On call 24/7
  • Ability to work inside and outside during various weather conditions
  • Local and overnight travel

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years construction experience
  • Willingness to perform outside the box tasks
  • Certified HVAC preferred
  • Plumbing certification preferred
